MADMAN NATIONALS - dilema lol

so I plan on attending to cheer on all the great entrants and see my friends :)

I have this pretty cool costume in mind. I CAN make it, if I give myself enough time. So far, I haven't bought any matieral. I am pretty short on cash atm

So I am wondering if it is worth making or not? I am starting to doubt it.

Is there a "simple" but not too expensive cosplay out there?
BTW I have heaps of Chinese brocade XD

I wouldn't want to not cosplay =)

That and I would have to make my boyfriends since he said he would cosplay from the same series!
